Music video: Introduction

  1)  The key conventions of music are movement, performance, narrative, visual effects, promotional devices, editing/sound, and mise-en-scene. 2)  Intertexuality is referring to another piece of media in one piece of media. In other words, referencing something else within a music video/film/game. 3)  1981 4)  In 1981, MTV launched; MTV was the first ever big platform dedicated to music, and it showed popular music videos at the time. They were a big part of the industry at the time as most music videos were designed to promote a band/artist's music. 5)  Nowadays, music videos are posted online to sites like YouTube. MTV isn't really a popular or convenient thing anymore, as it's much more convenient to just go online and watch/listen to what you want instead of sitting through stuff you aren't interested in.

  Introduction:  1) They claim to offer quality experience, promises style for everybody as well as Life Hacks to create the 'buzziest experiences' for readers. This means that they want readers to be able to always experience the best and most brilliant insight into events. 2) Heat claims to ensure that readers are always 'in the know' and find the funny, wherever it's hiding. This means that they claim to make sure they have all of the latest news so that they can give it to their readers. 3) Heat also says that, besides celebrity news, Heat also has information on food, fashion and wellbeing in order to ensure that readers always know what to wear and make the most of every body shape. 4) Heat's audience profile consists of 90% women and the average age of 37. 52% of readers are aged 15-34. The marital status is that 57% are married. Media Language:  1) The cover lines are written in all capital letters, with frequent exclamation marks and rhetorical question

  Historical, social and cultural contexts 1) What radio stations were offered by the BBC before 1967? -  Before the launch of Radio 1, the BBC ran three radio stations (the BBC Light Programme, the BBC Home Service and the BBC Third Programme), but these were considered old fashioned and were closed down in 1967. They were replaced with Radio 1, 2, 3 and 4. 2) How was BBC radio reorganised in September 1967?
